Histology/Imaging Core
Leica SP5 laser scanning confocal microscope with up to 5 color imaging in thin and thick tissue sections as well as, environmental controls for live cell imaging
The Histology/Imaging Core provides support to the institute staff in the areas of Histology, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Imaging.
Imaging equipment includes several brightfield, fluorescent, and dissecting microscopes. The core also maintains a Leica SP5 scanning confocal microscope with 5 color capabilities and an environmental chamber for live cell imaging.
Core staff provide management of imaging resources, training in the use of core equipment, and direct technical support. The technical support can include full performance of protocols as well as development of new techniques and protocols as required.
