About Us - Scientific Advisory Board
Robert A. Seder, M.D.
Dr. Robert Seder is Chief of the Cellular Immunology Section at The Vaccine Research Center. The focus of his laboratory is to develop vaccines for diseases requiring cellular immune responses. The studies are focused into three integrated areas:

Understanding the cellular and molecule factors regulating the differentiation and maintenance of memory/effector Th1 cells and CD8+ T cells in vivo.

Understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms by which vaccines or adjuvants induce immunity in vivo using Toll-like receptor ligands specific for distinct dendritic cell subsets.

Develop experimental mouse and non-human primate models for infections requiring cellular immunity such as HIV, Leishmania major and Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
