Keith M. Derbyshire, Ph.D.|
Keith Derbyshire is the Director of the Division of Genetics and a Research Scientist in the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at the Wadsworth Center. He is also a Professor in the School of Public Health at the University at Albany.
Dr. Derbyshire earned his Ph.D. at Edinburgh University and did his postdoctoral training at Yale University. He has been a Research Scientist at Wadsworth since 1992 and is an expert in molecular genetics of M. tuberculosis. A member of the American Society for Microbiology and the American Society for the Advancement of Science, he has published 48 articles in scientific journals.
Dr. Derbyshire is on the Scientific Advisory Board at the Trudeau Institute and is a member of the editorial board for Mobile Genetic Elements.
