Ralph C. Budd, M.D.|
A practicing rheumatologist, Dr. Ralph Budd is Director of the Immunobiology Program where he is also Professor of Medicine. Since 2006, he has also served as Director of the university’s Vermont Center for Immunology and Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Budd is a well-established investigator and leader in the areas of death receptors, such as Fas (CD95), and the activation of downstream caspases in apoptosis and regulation of the immune response. He also studies gd T cells in Lyme arthritis.
He is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and the Association of American Physicians and, to date, has authored 80 papers appearing in scientific journals.
