ROBERT NORTH, PH.D.
|

Dr. North was born and educated in Australia, receiving a Ph.D. in experimental pathology from the Australian National University in Canberra. He has been at the Trudeau Institute since 1967 and served as its Director from 1976-1995.
He is a recipient of the 1984 Distinguished Human Service Award from the State University of Arts & Sciences, Potsdam, NY; and of the 1984 Dr. Friedrich-Sasse-Stiftung Prize for Immunology, Germany. He was elected President of the Society of Leukocyte Biology in 1983, and was awarded the Marie T. Bonazinga Research Award of this Society in 1990. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Science from the State University of New York, 1992 and became a member of the Academy of Cancer Immunology in 2000.
